I have been certified in CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens. I know the importance to not cross contaminate. I love body modification and have been an active member on IAM and BME since I was a teenager. I have had 2g nostrils, 7/16 septum, cheek piercings, multiple lip piercings, and stretched ears. I currently have 8g nostrils, 2g septum, and a center labret piercing as well as stretched ears. I am very familiar with the troubles customers could have with their piercings and I have learned through personal experience.

I have read Elayne Angel’s Piercing Bible inside and out. I am very familiar with jewelry companies and what ones produce the best of the best. Anatometal is my personal favorite. I plan to make body piercing my career and want to be able to represent the shop that I work for! I am a hard worker and have been working in customer service since I was sixteen. I also have my bachelor degree in English. I know how to communicate with people and how to troubleshoot any issues. The customer is always right and I sincerely believe that. I strive in working hard, I will clean anything without being asked, and am very willing to listen and learn!

If you were a piercer at another studio, I will expect good references. We are a high end studio, catering to a broad demographic. There are currently three other piercers, with over 30 years experience combined. You can get a glimpse of the studio on our website, charlestonpiercing.com, or check out our reviews online. Customer service skills are key. If you think you may be interested in a position here, please look at what is required by our state, SCDHEC 61-109 for body piercers (see the link below.) We are not APP members, but our piercers hold themselves to the standards set forth in the APP procedure manual, any piercer here will be expected to do the same. A portfolio is nice. A resume is mandatory. I need to see your work history, any experience in customer service, medical training or background, hobbies/interests. This studio embraces innovative ideas in our industry but always law abiding. (Although microdermals are a popular service we offer, there is no dermal punching in our state). You must be at least 18, have at minimum a GED, your own source of reliable transportation, be reliable, clean, sober, reliable, and have a good bedside manner. Leave the ego at the door. We don’t have room for it in here. We are expanding; full time employment is a good possibility for the right candidate.
